What is PCBA?

Printed circuit board assembly, or PCBA, is the process of creating and assembling electronic components onto a single printed circuit board (PCB) through the use of conductive pathways engraved in the laminated copper sheets of PCBs. This is done in order to form the assembly within a non-conductive substrate so that the system can function as intended. This is usually done with the help of automated machines or hand soldering methods, where components such as resistors, LEDs, capacitors, diodes, transistors, and integrated circuits (ICs) are soldered onto the board.
